  11. 5the door by a waiter.

  14. 5close now. Yes, yes, come come. We're
  15. 5nearly there now. Alright. You may seat
  16. 5yourselves now."

  18. 5You sit down opposite Kent. The waiter
  19. 5speaks. "When you entered, you passed
  20. 5through our cash detector, and I noticed
  21. 5that you're both broke. If you and your
  22. 5friend would care to order anything,
  23. 5tough! Have a nice evening."
  24. 5You look at Kent.
  25. 5Kent looks at you.
  26. 5Ho, hum.
  27. 5You look down to the stage.

  30. 5Qax Skyordlefyorbin, and right now I'd
  31. 5like to introduce you to Mr. Ike Nullify
  32. 5and his Catastrophic Combo!"

  37. 5you. You turn around, and see a face
  38. 5that looks strangely familiar...

  42. 5"Hi, Thelonius!" you say. "I didn't
  43. 5recognize you!"
  44. 5"Well, Colin decided to give me an
  45. 5overhaul for the sequel. Basically, he
  46. 5made it face the other way, and he gave
  47. 5it 256 colors. Of those, however, fewer
  48. 5than 10 are used..."
  49. 5"Cool," you say.
  50. 5"Well, Captain Spleen, I see you and
  51. 5your friend are in the market for one
  52. 5Colin Timothy Gagnon and one Robert
  53. 5Cumming Randall. Am I right?"
  54. 5"Yes! How did you know?"
  55. 5"I already registered."
  56. 5"Oh," you say.
  57. 5"Anyway, I can get you transportation
  58. 5as far as the Crouton Nebula."
  59. 5"Where's that?"
  60. 5"It's where you want to be. Trust me. I
  61. 5beat the game before it even came out.

  63. 5to go in and edit the source code."

  66. 5"Sir," says the waiter, "There is a
  67. 5phone call for you."
  68. 5"Here? But who knows where I am?"
  69. 5"Perhaps it's Officer Porky caught up
  70. 5with us," says Kent.
  71. 5"The nasal gentleman in question--"
  72. 5"NASAL?!" you exclaim.
  73. 5"--has been awaiting your arrival for
  74. 5a considerable number of millenia.
  75. 5Oh, I'm sorry. No he hasn't. He just
  76. 5wants to talk to you."
  77. 5"Hand me the rap rod, plate captain."
  78. 5"The what sir?" he asks you quizically.
  79. 5"Oh, that's right. We're trying to avoid
  80. 5a lawsuit. Just give me the phone."
  81. 5"Certainly, sir."

  83. 5"Mr. Pointy!" you shout at the top of
  84. 5your lungs, so that people outside of
  85. 5your office can hear you. (We would have
  86. 5had a sound effect, but we figured that
  87. 5if your boss got you fired, you couldn't
  88. 5register the game).
  89. 5"No," says the nose at the bottom of the
  90. 5screen, "I'm Captain Nasal, Mr. Pointy's
  91. 5brother's friend's daughter's cousin's
  92. 5father's uncle's sister's fiance, and
  93. 5I want revenge! Bwahahahahaha!"
  94. 5"Aw, man... Hey! You didn't kidnap Colin
  95. 5and Robert, did you?"
  96. 5"No."
  97. 5"Okay. Just a stab in the dark."
  98. 5"I could tell."
  99. 5"Alright. I'm going to the Crouton
  100. 5Nebula. Wanna meet me there? We can
  101. 5kill eachother somewhere between there
  102. 5and the rest of the game."
  103. 5"Sounds good."
  104. 5"Alrighty. See you then."

  107. 5You hand the phone to the waiter, and
  108. 5turn to leave.

  110. 5"Not so fast," he says. "You owe us for
  111. 5that call. It was collect."
  112. 5"Don't look at me. I'm a little short
  113. 5right now," says Thelonius.
  114. 5"Don't worry," says Kent, reaching into
  115. 5your pocket. "Here ya' go!"

  117. 5He holds up your waterproof pumpkin.

  119. 5"Hmmmm," says the waiter. "That plus an
  120. 5eternity of service as part of the
  121. 5kitchen staff should cover it."

  123. 5With that, he grabs kent, and drags him
  124. 5off. Thelonius turns to you.
  125. 5"Don't worry. He comes back."
  126. 5The two of you walk to his ship, and
  127. 5blast off, heading in the general
  128. 5direction of the Crouton Nebula, as the
  129. 5swallow flies -- that's an unladen
  130. 5swallow -- and without coconuts. I don't
  131. 5know if it's African or European, but I
  132. 5expect it doesn't matter. In fact --
  133. 5Oh, never mind.
